BATTERY STORAGE

Home Battery storage
This is a new and exciting concept with the energy prices as high as they are today gives rise to a relatively short ROI return on investment. Home Batteries can be added to a existing installation’s provided the right inverter is installed or part of a new installation. They can be used in conjunction with a Solar PV array to store excess energy generated during the day for use during the evening and through the night for example overnight car charging, or as a stand alone entity utilising the cheaper tariffs available at night to store energy for later use when the tariffs are at there peak. With the average three bed detached house using circa 10kw of energy per day a 10kw battery storage system can mean that you can become almost independent of the grid for most of the year if this is combined with Solar generation. These are modular systems and you can start with one 5kw battery and add more at a later date should you wish. They way these LFP batteries are manufactured now means there is a very low risk of fire and most can be installed either in a garage or in a loft space provided there is adequate ventilation. With the cost of battery manufacturing significantly reduce over pervious years there has never been a better time to take advantage of this technology.
